My top 5 Mac Blushes!

I absolutely love Mac blushes. They were the first blushes I bought since they have such a huge variety, and are so widely talked about on Youtube.

I generally love Mac blushes, they have the right amount of pigmentation, they apply true to colour and last all day. Moreover, I love the huge selection of shades and finishes.

Peaches
A very beautiful brightening peach colour. I feel like it has just the right amount of peach which doesn’t make me look too orange, and is one of my staple daily blushes. I absolutely love wearing this during the day to uni and work, I also find that I don’t need to apply bronzer with this; as it warms my skin up beautifully.

Melba
This was my first mac blush and is my all time favourite blush colour. It looks like a muted pink in the pan but it applies to a beautiful coral which is not to bright and obnoxious. It is one of Macs best sellers and by all means has lived up it to its hype for me. I used this blush every single day for like a whole year! Its just the most perfect pink blush for my skin tone and I love it because its not too dark and not too bright – it’s the perfect in between colour for mid-tone girls.

Gingerly
Gingerly is such a unique shade. In my opinion it is a browny peach shade which when applied builds up as a very muted peachy shade with a brown base. This is a universal shade which is meant to work with all skin tones and is super wearable, and also goes with any look.

Coppertone
Coppertone is Gingerlys brown cousin. It is just like gingeryly but more brown and I love using this shade on my upper cheek bone as a slight contour. If you’re looking for a blush which you can swipe on without bronzer and contouring – this is your shade. I recommend it for medium to dark skin tones. If you’re lighter than NC25 – it might come off terracottery and a muddy looking orange bronzer.

LadyBlush
This is a beautiful muted light pink shade. I think it’s a beautiful everyday crème blush and I use this on long days for when I need my makeup to last. It is really creamy in texture. I love it because it’s the only cool tone pink shade which still works with my complexion.

I am so excited to try out Michael Todds True Organics skin care range. Youtubers have been raving about his products forever! Most of these are new but I have had some of these products  for a couple of months (Blue Algar toner, Rose petal mask and Jojoba Charcoal scrub). I wanted to try these products with my new Michael Todd products together before giving you guys a review. I have been using these products for about 2 weeks now but I will wait a few more to give a full review. For now, here is my product list from my haul and brief summaries of the main ingredients and claims.

Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser. Contains: highly activated Charcoal. The description fits the product really well, it’s a deep pore gel cleanser.

Kaolin Clay Facial Mask – Detoxifying face mask, extra absorbent for oily acne prone skin. Contains: Kaolin Clay, Sulfur, Green tea- calms skin, Black Willow Bark (kills bacteria).

Rose Petal Mask – Moisturises and fights premature skin ageing – for all skin types except sensitive. Contains: Vitamin C, Acai and 10% Glycolic acid.

Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub – exfoliates and removes impurities.
Contains Jojoba wax beeds and activated charcoal – Beeds are decent size and the texture of the scrub itself is quite dense and overall gives it a good texture for an exfoliant.

Skincare Discovery Kit: Dry Skin
Blue Algae Toner – Anti bacterial Toner – highly moisturising, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, aids in prevention and treatment of acne. Contains: Hyloaronic acid, Organic kelp and Amino acids.

Skin Defender AHA Crème facial cleanser – exfoliates and removes impurities and makeup. Contains: Green tea, Citrus extracts of lemon, and Alpha Hydroxy Acid.

Tropical Fruit Enzyme exfoliating scrub – Contains: Papaya and Pineapple enzyme. 

Citrus Crème moisturiser with DMAE and hyaluronic acid.Contains: essential oils of Lemon Mandarin 

Orange and Lime. Hyloronic acid and DMAE are skin firmers, for fine lines.
